It will blow up and you will die even if you’re godded. Unless you get in front of a low flying cargo plane. god ~ Gives you god mode and you can’t die. You can also use STEAMID instead of PLAYERNAME, where STEAMID is the long number such as 76561198084443317. Where you see PLAYERNAME in the commands below, you don’t need the full name just part of it will do and Oxide/umod will attempt to find the full player name. It’s your consideration and help and effort that makes (I think) GameKeeper a great place to hang out. Having said all this, a BIG THANK YOU to you mods for doing what you’re doing. Often stopping and thinking about something for a little while is all it takes for a problem to fizzle out or go away. Just take 20 minutes to think, and step back a bit if you’re not sure about what to do. The admins have lives and every PM you send to them causes their phones to ping and interrupts what they’re doing in real life, so PLEASE be considerate. PLEASE don’t send 10-30 messages as it occurs to you (yeah, one mod used to do this). If you have something to tell PPlank or another admin, put all your thoughts down into ONE long paragraph and PM it on Discord to one of them. Unless it’s a clear emergency (server crashed etc – although they should restart on their own) and you know you need to contact them right away. Then LATER, much later, the next day if necessary or possible, when everything is calm and PPlank or one of the other admins are around and you happen to think about it, then tell them. If a player or group of players are being verbally abusive, stop talking to them and just watch – record video of any incidents if you like. The last thing we want is accusations of “admin abuse.” Please don’t troll players with your mod super powers unless you know they’re okay with it first. We won’t of course, because we all like to have a bit of a snoop while “vanished” to see what they’re doing. Most of the time the players want no intervention from mods or admins at all and would be far happier if we kept away. Mods are not there to take sides, or to punish players, or to threaten them, or get involved in verbal abuse or general shit talk with them. Be VERY sceptical but polite as some players feel they can somehow manipulate (socially engineer) mods and admins to do their bidding. Mods are not there to get involved in any way unless requested by the players, (and even then don’t believe everything they tell you). (Sometimes we spot someone early who stands out.) It’s not a good fit for everyone, so really, if you’re there (and here on this page), thank you. We thank you for your level of involvement in GameKeeper to the point where we would consider you as fit for that duty. I think most people get that, but I also think it’s worth me saying it here. Having moderator status is not a perk, it’s a duty. Before we start with the commands though, I just want to say a few things about moderating so that no-one gets the wrong ideas about it. If you can, get a demo or screenshot and report the abuse to the server owner.First of all… Thank you for being a moderator. There is no point in trying to reason with, or compete with, a rogue admin. changing map frequently, abusing/insulting, kicking/banning without reason, etc., leave the server. If a player with admin status is behaving badly, eg. If you wish to obtain an admin password for a server, speak to the owner or clan via their forum, email, in game or in IRC. There are also 'server share' schemes, where server owners agree to share admin passwords amongst each other to ensure a large admin availability on frequently used servers. It's common for a clan that runs its own server/s to give admin passwords to all its clan members. Passwords can be given to those players, or entire clans, that the server owner trusts. Server owners can set one or more admin passwords in the server configuration. Claiming admin will remove the status from an existing admin. Typos and the possibility of 'saying' the password to the HUD (by omitting the '/') make binding server passwords to keys or scripts a better alternative. If the player types a password that is not recognised by the server, their client is kicked. A player sets him/herself as admin by issuing the command "/setadmin 1 password".
